have you had a lot on?
TOO MUCH
too much is a visceral reaction to a world in which women are ignored until they are too loud to be taken seriously. too much is a universe in which we marry our trauma worms, we tick off our bucket lists and we fight for laughter.
Formerly T.M/O - the poet poets write about, just stumbled upon an unbelievable true story. she found out (the hard way) that absolutely nobody cares about the pain women go through. if you want to find out (the easy way), keep reading.
Pre ordeal, T was building a lovely little career within the spoken word scene.
However, as per. all was not what it seemed when sudden fibroid related double kidney failure meant she spent the next 8 months and 9 major surgeries fighting for her life instead.
she’s back.
theres an intersection, where social, medical, psychological horrors accumulate. she’s a real life survivor , speaking for those who have fallen through loopholes nobody even knew existed. she speaks for everyone, because she speaks for the other. she speaks truth to the system with a sense humour only acquired from those who sat down with mortality and ripped it’s face off.
too much
The EP became an album (half written in Salford Royal) which is now the soundtrack to an autobiographical spoken word body horror mockumentary musical with Searle.
Ultimately it's a commentary on the female health crisis, and aims to shine light on fibroids in particular.
